Sunday 4th of September saw the start of the new season kick off with the Juniors and our flagship team of Under 14's
with matches being played at 9.30 and 10.30 am.
I must say both teams looked great in the new team kits, they all looked proud and up for some sporting fun, I witnessed some fantastic play with good runs and some outstanding defending from both teams.
Unfortunately, it wasn't to be our day with both teams losing today, but we walked away with the knowledge of where we can make some improvements to enhance our campaigns going forward.
Today I felt really proud to see all the players get stuck in and maintain their smiles. Compared to the other teams, we went into battle cold turkey today having played no pre-season games to set the format of our teams. Our opposition of Juniors played 4 friendlies and seniors had 6 friendlies leading into today's league start, giving them a good headstart today although I'm not excusing the losses it does make the defeats a little easier to swallow.
A huge well done to them all.
